Farm Raised Poultry

Why Pastured Poultry?

Pastured chickens eat high amounts of forage daily, have access to fresh air, soak in vitamin D from natural sun light exposure, and are raised to roam free on grass within safety bounds that are set for them (fencing, mobile houses, or tractors). Pastured chickens are  clinically shown to be far lower in saturated fat  (Salatin, 1993, pp.2). Our pastured chickens are raised in small batches, free of antibiotics, on clean pasture paddocks, are fed wholesome feed, with kelp meal, natural vitamins. They have access to fresh air, fresh grass,  and sunshine, which allows them to grow without damaging substances.

Pasture raised is a farming practice that offers the highest animal welfare. Pasture raised requires two things: fresh grass and daily rotation. Our tractors are moved daily so birds can have access to fresh green grass, thus imparting a deeper flavor and firmer texture to the meat. Our birds are fed organic NON GMO fermented feed for easy digestion and healthier gut.

Antibiotic, growth hormones, and vaccine free broilers, RAISED on our pastures!

Current cost is $6.75/lb. Average finished weight varies between 3.7-4.5 pounds. Our April 2024 harvest yield birds that dressed at 4.5lbs, the lowest and 6.4lbs, the highest.

We are now taking pre-orders for December 14th 2024 harvest.

We raise our own broilers, whether they hatch at our farm or come from a hatchery.
We raise our broilers in mobile houses/tractors that is rotated throughout the pasture once, daily, to ensure optimal husbandry and health of our birds as well maintaining the  integrity of our grass. We ensure that they have plenty of space to move around in each tractor or mobile house. Each tractor has a side door that allows for the birds to venture out and and graze in the pasture within the Premier fence we put up to ensure their safety and wellbeing while grazing freely in the pasture.

Whole dressed chickens come with all the innards (heart, liver, neck, and gizzard). Feet can be added with additional cost of $1 per foot.
