Our Flock of Lavander Ameraucanas
The Ameraucana chicken breed originates from Chile blue egg layers called Aracuanas. Ameraucanas were bred to retain the blue egg gene while eliminating the lethal alleles common to their parent breed.
The Ameraucana breed was admitted in the APA Standards of Perfection (SOP) in 1984. The last color variety to be admitted in the APA was the Lavender, also known as Self-Blue.
We sourced our Self-Blue breeding stock from Paul Smith who was the head of the Ameraucana Breeder Club at the time. Since then, we have joined the Ameraucana Breeders Club for further education and guidance on breeding our Self-Bues to the SOP. We and are committed to preserving and retaining the wonderful features of this amazing, unique breed.
Per our experience, Ameraucanas are calm, docile, super hardy, and friendly birds. They make excellent pets with benefits. Both male and female are active, inquisitive, and friendly. They bare confinement well but are excellent foragers if given the opportunity. The hens can go broody, but otherwise, are great layers on light blue eggs. Their egg laying season can be long. They are usually the last ones to quit laying in late November and the first ones to start back up in January. Of course, there may be environmental factors that could affect this. Their pea comb makes them the ideal bird to raise in cold weather regions, but I personally find that they do well over hot summer days in Florida. They are one of my favorite breeds of all time.

Our Hatching Egg Order Policy
All hatching eggs are pre-orders. Minimum order of 6 eggs. When ordering hatching eggs, please factor in the number of eggs that may not develop nor hatch; please be also mindful of the ratio of males vs. females you might get. Due to factors beyond our control (hatching techniques, humidity, weather, USPS handling) we cannot be held responsible for eggs that don't develop or poor hatch rates. There are no refunds nor replacement for eggs that don't hatch. Please note that just because an egg does not develop, it does not mean it is infertile. There is only one way to know if an egg is fertile and unfortunately, that means breaking the egg open to look for the white spot, which is the germinal disk. (looks like a donut!!) You will see a yellow hole in the center and there would indicate that the egg is fertile. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HATCH RATES OUTSIDE OUR FARM. Avoid counting your chicks before they hatch!! We do not offer eggs from any breed that we have not successfully hatched ourselves. We scrutinize the eggs we sell. We only sell and send the freshest eggs collected within a max of 72 hour collection, kept under appropriate temperature and turned frequently throughout the day. The eggs we pack for you will be free of any deformities and defects.
Packaging
All orders are shipped double-boxed, no matter how small the set may be. We use shredded paper, corrugated paper, newspapers, pulp egg cartons. The materials I use largely depend on the location they are headed to. Depending on location and knowledge/experience of how eggs are treated in a particular route, I even add extra layers of protection. I pretty much do everything I can to ensure these eggs will arrive intact and immaculate. I package with USPS brutality in mind.

We ship all our eggs from Dade City, FL 33523, via priority mail only (FREE SHIPPING), on Tuesdays and Wednesdays ONLY. Customer is responsible for cost of express shipping if requested. Your shipment WON'T be marked "HOLD FOR PICK UP," UNLESS you provide a phone number so folks at the PO can give you a call to let you know your hatching eggs are in.
Please note that Ebay's handling/shipping time is not accurate for this kind of business. I will be in communication with you to let you when the anticipated ship date might be as we collect fresh eggs for every customer. With that being said, there are factors that, sometimes, delay the process. I set the handling time for 5 days. Sometimes it is shorter and other times it can be longer, but we'll keep you up to date.
Local Pick Up - Welcome with appointment only. We follow strict biosecurity guidelines and only have visitors by appointment. Cancellation/Return Policy
All sales are final. If life happens and you decide to cancel an order that has not yet been filled, 50% of your payment is refundable and the other 50% will be issued as a store credit for a future purchase with us. We do not issue full refunds. If you need to cancel your order, please email us with your order number and cancellation reason. In the event we are unable to fill an order, we reserve the right to cancel it, and a full refund will be issued.
We do not accept returns of live animals or hatching eggs for any reason whatsoever. Please understand that once you drive off with the animals you have chosen to raise, they are now yours and are under your care. Anything that happens to them after you take them is beyond our control, thus, we cannot be held responsible.

First and foremost, there are no refunds, no returns, no replacements on any hatching egg orders, FOR ANY REASON, whatsoever.
You may have 0% -100% hatch rate from the eggs you receive from me.
You understand that eggs may not develop due to factors outside my control. You should candle the eggs upon arrival to inspect the air sac cells. It is recommended that shipped eggs rest for 12 hours to allow shook up air cells a chance to settle and possibly reattach. If air cells become damaged, embryo development is doomed.
Please take the time to educate yourself about fertile chicken eggs. Just because the embryo fails to develop, it does not mean the egg was not fertile. Eggs must be kept under the right condition in order to fertilize (It is always a good idea to check your incubator for cold spots periodically).
The only way to check for fertility is to crack one of the eggs to locate the bullseye (the blastocyst). That is the only way! Please do your research before making false claims out of ignorance.
You should ALWAYS elect to pick up your eggs from the post office versus having them shipped to your door. Clients who follow this best practice are far more successful than those who have their package sent straight home.
If you can't pick up your eggs from the post office, consider sourcing them locally.
If you want your package held for pick up, please leave your phone number on the "note to seller" during checkout and it will be done for you. If you forget, you can always send me a message via ebay. I will no longer reach out to anyone for the phone number. If you have not asked me to hold for pick up, your package will be sent straight to your address.

Handling time is 10 business days. Sometimes, it can take longer, depending on the number of orders between eBay, local, and the farm website. I strive to ship every order within the deadline, but keep in mind we work with animals. Animals are unpredictable. We work with small flocks. Eggs are shipped fresh. Your oldest egg won't be older than 72 hours prior to shipping.
If you decide to leave a positive feedback, please do so on the condition of eggs upon arrival (after you have candled them), and packaging. These are the things I am 100% in control of. Your eggs will arrive safely and unbroken; free of any deformities. Only the best eggs are chosen for your incubator. Each egg is carefully inspected for cracks and detached air cells prior to packaging. Every package sent is the best it can possibly be. The eggs I sent to you are packaged with love and care.
If you receive broken eggs (from usps mishandling), please file a claim with usps. Your package is insured for $100. Pictures are a MUST.
Please understand that I do not return messages about hatch rate. There is nothing I can or will do to remediate the issue. I can't refund you for service that has been rendered. I won’t reship, unless paid for a full set, or authorize a return.
I can't guarantee hatch rate outside my farm for numerous factors: the environment, the machine, the practice, detached air sacs during transit, just to name a few. Just place me on your "no buy again list" and move on.

Our 2023 Lavander Ameraucana Flock
We have two roosters over 8 hens. One is a Lavander and the other is Black. These are black split to self-blue (lavender) ameraucana eggs. 'Splits' are used to improve attributes in a another variety- most often being black 'splits'. Think of the word split just meaning 'crossed to'. In the case of self-blue, black is most often used to improve feather quality and reduce the fraying that occurs more easily in the self-blue variety.
Birds with two copies of the lavender gene will present with lavender feather coloring. Lavender split to black birds (referred to as split) will have black coloring, but will carry one copy of the lavender gene and are able to pass it to their offspring. Eggs are light blue shade which varies in intensity, with a hue of lemon color on them.
Packaging
I have been using pool noodles and have been very successful with it. Based on customer feedback, eggs arrive intact; most develop and hatch, so I am going to continue to use them along with packing peanuts. Between 2/2 through the end of February, I may include a heat pack free of charge to you. I check the weather conditions prior to shipping and make that determination then. I do everything I can, in my power, to ensure your order arrives as they left my farm.

We ship all our eggs from Dade City, FL 33523, via priority mail only (FREE SHIPPING). We will ship your order as soon as it is complete, thus shipping can occur anytime between Monday and Thursday. I do not ship Express. Priority Mail only via USPS. I prefer to ship eggs laid same day I ship or the day before; however, if you order a large order, some eggs may be a little older but not older than 5 days when shipped, so please keep that in mind when ordering more than a dozen at a time.
