Our Hatching Egg Order Policy
All hatching eggs are pre-orders. Minimum order of 6 eggs. When ordering hatching eggs, please factor in the number of eggs that may not develop nor hatch; please be also mindful of the ratio of males vs. females you might get. Due to factors beyond our control (hatching techniques, humidity, weather, mail carrier handling) we cannot be held responsible for eggs that don't develop or poor hatch rates. There are no refunds nor replacement for eggs that don't hatch. Please note that just because an egg does not develop, it does not mean it is infertile. There is only one way to know if an egg is fertile and unfortunately, that means breaking the egg open to look for the white spot, which is the germinal disk. (looks like a donut!!) You will see a yellow hole in the center and there would indicate that the egg is fertile. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HATCH RATES OUTSIDE OUR FARM. Avoid counting your chicks before they hatch!! We do not offer eggs from any breed that we have not successfully hatched ourselves. We scrutinize the eggs we sell. We only sell and send the freshest eggs collected within a max of 72 hour collection, kept under appropriate temperature and turned frequently throughout the day. The eggs we pack for you will be free of any deformities and defects.
Our Ancona Duck Flock
Ancona ducks are rare heritage breed. We have been raising Anconas since 2018. From my personal experience, I can tell you they are a phenomenal breed. They are suer intelligent and friendly. The layers are prolific and fertile. They typically lay about 280 eggs a year. They are chatty but not loud. They love to forage and mate in the pond. Ancona’s current Livestock conservancy status is “Watch.” You can learn more in depth information about Ancona ducks here https://livestockconservancy.org/heritage-breeds/heritage-breeds-list/ancona-duck/
My entire flock of Anconas consist of all colors, except white and tricolor, though we occasionally still hatch white due to a recessive gene present in the bloodline we have. Other present genes include tricolor and crested. They do pop up once upon a moon. The crested gene is linked to a lethal condition during incubation. I currently keep one crested female duck. She is chocolate and is gorgeous. I do not keep tricolors nor whites. Those are sold early or raised for harvest. I am very proud of my flock of Anconas. My first Anconas hatched from several eggs I purchased from Allison Party (Al Qualquery) back when I first started with Anconas. A year later, I hatched eggs from Mantahala-farm (Nancy). With her line, I hatched a few heavily colored ones versus the lightly colored I got from Al Qualquerys, so there was quite a bit of work and culling I had to do to get what I have today. Ancona ducks are not yet APA recognized. I do support some of the proposed standards that is to steer away from heavily colored patterns. I have layers that put out white, cream, and blue-greenish eggs. Sometimes, I get some that is closer to the teal blue color. Please note, I do not separate my Anconas by color.
From the eggs you get from me, you may hatch chocolate, black, silver, lavender, and blue. Interesting fact about the chocolate is “Chocolate is a sex-linked recessive trait. If a chocolate drake mates with a black duck, all female offspring will be chocolate, while all male offspring will be black. A black drake mated to a chocolate duck produces all black offspring. Only male offspring will carry the sex-linked recessive chocolate gene.” (Holderread 1985, 4). Please note we cannot predict when our hens want to take a break. Just like us, they have good days and bad days as well. If I cannot fill your order due to broodiness, molt, heat, or any other factor that affects laying, I will contact you and cancel your order, issuing a full refund.

Price is per set and it does not include shipping. FREE LOCAL PICK UP with appointment. Please read our policy on hatching eggs before placing your order. Thank you:-)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
First and foremost, there are no refunds, no returns, and no replacements on any hatching egg orders, FOR ANY REASON, whatsoever.
You may have 0% -100% hatch rate from the eggs you receive from me.
In addition to the above, you understand that, in general, shipped eggs may not develop due to factors outside my control. You should candle the eggs upon arrival to inspect the air sac cells. It is recommended that shipped eggs rest for 12 hours to allow shook up air cells a chance to settle and possibly reattach. If air cells become damaged, embryo development is doomed.
Please take the time to educate yourself about fertile chicken eggs. Just because the embryo fails to develop, it does not mean the egg was not fertile. Eggs must be kept under the right condition in order to fertilize (It is always a good idea to check your incubator for cold spots periodically).
The only way to check for fertility is to crack one of the eggs to locate the bullseye (the blastocyst).
Department of Agriculture requires all shipments of hatching eggs and live animals must be accompanied by the buyer's phone number. We are NPIP and follow NPIP guidelines. We file and submit a VS 9-3 form for all of our shipped orders, even if within the State of Florida.
When you purchase eggs through the mail you understand there are risks involved and when you complete your purchase, you have accepted these terms and conditions.
Handling time can be anywhere between 3 - 10 business days. Sometimes, it can take longer, depending on the number of orders between eBay, local, and the farm website. I strive to ship every order as soon as possible, but keep in mind we work with animals. Animals are unpredictable. We work with small flocks. Eggs are shipped fresh. Your oldest egg won't be older than 72 hours prior to shipping.
Your eggs will arrive safely and unbroken; free of any deformities. Only the best eggs are chosen for your incubator. Each egg is carefully inspected for cracks and detached air cells prior to packaging. Every package sent is the best it can possibly be. The eggs I sent to you are packaged with love and care.
If you receive broken eggs, send me an email or text message with pictures of the damage eggs (exclude any extras sent) Pictures are a MUST.
Please understand that I do not return messages about hatch rate. There is nothing I can or will do to remediate the issue. I can't refund you for service that has been rendered. I won’t reship, unless paid for a full set, or authorize a return.
I can't guarantee hatch rate outside my farm for numerous factors: the environment, the machine, the practice, detached air sacs during transit, just to name a few. Just place me on your "no buy again list" and move on.
Please note we cannot predict when our hens want to take a break. Just like us, they have good days and bad days as well. If I cannot fill your order due to broodiness, molt, heat, or any other factor that affects laying, I will contact you and cancel your order, issuing a full refund.
If you can’t accept these terms and conditions please find another breeder.
