Salmon Faverolle chick
Please read the description in its entirety before ordering. All day old chick orders are pre-orders!
All orders of chicks and hatching eggs are pre-orders. You will receive a text or email from us when your order is ready for pick up or being shipped. We do not ship chicks; only eggs! Baby chicks have to be picked up locally. To place an order, select the quantity desired and add to the cart. Chicks are sold unsexed. When you place your order we will contact to you let you know when we are setting the eggs for your chicks and give you an anticipated hatch date. When your chicks hatch, we vaccinate them, unless requested otherwise, and reach out to you to schedule your appointment for pick up.
Once you are notified that your birds are ready for check out, it is up to you to have their coop ready and make arrangements to pick them up by the deadline agreed upon. Should life happens and you are not able to take care of the birds you pre-ordered, we will give you credit for the amount paid up-to-date for a future purchase. Please understand we are not able to refund any orders/pre-orders. The only time, a refund applies is when we are not able to deliver the product (Ex. theft, fertility issues, hatch rate issue, fire, flock demise, bird illness, death of breeder, etc). There is a $5 fee for each bird, each day that is here past the deadline. No exceptions. You must order a minimum of 5 chicks and no more than 10. If you want to order more than 10 chicks, please reach out to me first. Chicks will develop in Salmon color like feathers, but you may also get one or two white ones (rare but possible due to recessive white gene in the bloodline; White Faverolles are well sought out by many).
A fee of $20 is added to any order that does not meet the minimum purchase requirement. This fee will be collected during pickup. Orders are filled by the order in which payment is received. Please allow up to 48 hours to hear back from us, especially if you are ordering on a Friday night or over the weekend. Appointments are scheduled for Saturdays most of the year. If you are ordering on a Saturday and expecting to pick up on the same day, please note available slots fill up quickly during the week, so sometimes, we are fully booked on Saturdays. Please wait to hear back from us before heading to our farm. We will contact you within 48 hours to schedule your pick up or anticipated pick up date, depending on the birds’ age group you purchased.
Feeding: We feed Non-GMO Nature’s Best Organic starter grower (this is a non-medicated feed). We provide fresh water daily with a tbs of apple cider vinegar (Brags raw and unfiltered, “with the mother”)
Electrolytes:
If you want to make your own solution here is the recipe:
§ 8 teaspoons granulated sugar
§ ½ teaspoon sea salt
§ ½ teaspoon baking soda
§ 1 gallon of water
Vaccination Policy
We make no guarantee that the vaccinations will protect your poultry 100% from getting the disease, but it is a good preventative step. Marek's vaccine is an injection and will not be noticeable on the chicks.
Cancellation/Return Policy
If life happens and you decide to cancel an order that has not yet been filled, 50% of your payment is refundable and the other 50% will be issued as a store credit for a future purchase with us. We do not issue full refunds. If you need to cancel your order, please email us with your order number and cancellation reason. In the event we are unable to fill an order, we reserve the right to cancel it, and a full refund will be issued.
About our Salmon Faverolle
The Happy Chicken Coop has coined the Salmon Faverolle chicken as the "banyard comedians" ! I can tell you they could not be more accurate! If you like quiet chickens, Salmon Faverolles are not for you. This is a very energetic, active, talkative flock. Very productive too.
Background
Salmon Faverolles are a French breed from a small village called Faverolles. They were developed from other breeds. Their genetic makeup includes Brahma, Dorking, Houdan, French Rennes, French Cuckoo, and Malines. We first acquired our breeding stock from Southgate Faverolles. Devon has a passion for Faverolles and I found out about her during the time I was a member at the Salmon Faverolle club of USA. I would describe my flock as high quality, but I do not claim any of them to be show quality. Very few birds meet all of the SOP marks to be certified as such. Nonetheless, we do cull and keep the best to further advance and preserve the beautiful work Devon has done. Our males are stunning, close to perfect🥰. Our females will display the breed standards with no black leakage you normally see in hatchery quality birds. I must warn you: If you are looking for a quiet breed, Salmon Faverolles are not the right breed for you. Lol. They are quite talkative. Very curious and nosy. They love to free range and being out exploring the field when allowed. Ours hens lay a range of color from light tan, to pinkish , to a Salmon color. Our bloodline has the white recessive gene. This means you may hatch white Faverolles which are quiet rare. Salmon Faverolles are recognized by the American Poultry Association (APA). Standard salmon and white are the only colors accepted by the APA.

Price is per set and it does not include shipping. Please read our policy on hatching eggs before placing your order. Thank you:-)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
First and foremost, there are no refunds, no returns, and no replacements on any hatching egg orders, FOR ANY REASON, whatsoever.
You may have 0% -100% hatch rate from the eggs you receive from me.
In addition to the above, you understand that, in general, shipped eggs may not develop due to factors outside my control. You should candle the eggs upon arrival to inspect the air sac cells. It is recommended that shipped eggs rest for 12 hours to allow shook up air cells a chance to settle and possibly reattach. If air cells become damaged, embryo development is doomed.

Please take the time to educate yourself about fertile chicken eggs. Just because the embryo fails to develop, it does not mean the egg was not fertile. Eggs must be kept under the right condition in order to fertilize (It is always a good idea to check your incubator for cold spots periodically).
The only way to check for fertility is to crack one of the eggs to locate the bullseye (the blastocyst). That is the only way! Please do your research before making false claims that cannot be proven.
You should ALWAYS elect to pick up your eggs from the post office versus having them shipped to your door. Clients who follow this best practice are far more successful than those who have their package sent straight home.
If you can't pick up your eggs from the post office, consider sourcing them locally.
If you want your package held for pick up, please leave your phone number on the "note to seller" during checkout and it will be done for you. If you forget, you can always send me a message via ebay. I will no longer reach out to anyone for the phone number. If you have not asked me to hold for pick up, your package will be sent straight to your address; however, per the Department of Agriculture all shipments of hatching eggs and live animals must be accompanied by the buyer's phone number. We are NPIP and follow NPIP guidelines. We file and submit a VS 9-3 form for all of our shipped orders, even if within the State of Florida.
I am wife, mom, teacher, and farmer. I do not have time to entertain any drama over eggs that don't develop or don't hatch. I am not a keyboard warrior.
When you purchase eggs through the mail you understand there are risks involved and when you complete your purchase, you have accepted these terms and conditions.
Handling time can be anywhere between 3 - 10 business days. Sometimes, it can take longer, depending on the number of orders between eBay, local, and the farm website. I strive to ship every order as soon as possible, but keep in mind we work with animals. Animals are unpredictable. We work with small flocks. Eggs are shipped fresh. Your oldest egg won't be older than 72 hours prior to shipping.
Your eggs will arrive safely and unbroken; free of any deformities. Only the best eggs are chosen for your incubator. Each egg is carefully inspected for cracks and detached air cells prior to packaging. Every package sent is the best it can possibly be. The eggs I sent to you are packaged with love and care.
If you receive broken eggs (from usps mishandling), please file a claim with usps. Your package is insured for $100. Pictures are a MUST.
Please understand that I do not return messages about hatch rate. There is nothing I can or will do to remediate the issue. I can't refund you for service that has been rendered. I won’t reship, unless paid for a full set, or authorize a return.
I can't guarantee hatch rate outside my farm for numerous factors: the environment, the machine, the practice, detached air sacs during transit, just to name a few. Just place me on your "no buy again list" and move on.
Please note we cannot predict when our hens want to take a break. Just like us, they have good days and bad days as well. If I cannot fill your order due to broodiness, molt, heat, or any other factor that affects laying, I will contact you and cancel your order, issuing a full refund.
If you can’t accept these terms and conditions please find another breeder.
